There have been reports in Japan of PlayStation Vita’s overheating while being charged. So far 31 Vita’s have shown this problem. 23 of them in Japan and the rest are based in North America, United Kingdom and Australia.

Sony reports on this saying that it will not be issuing a recall. That in most cases of these it’s the result of liquids being on the charger connector and burning out once connected. If you suffer from this it looks like it will be costing you to resolve it.
