Welcome to the Weekly Wrap-Up, the weekly (and ever evolving) time when we look at the top five news stories of the week. So here’s the list without further adieu:

We reported last week on the rumor of a $99 Xbox bundle. That rumor turned out to be reality this week. While at first glance the bundle seems like one heck of a deal, but upon further investigation the bundle will end up costing consumers an extra $40 over the two-year required subscription period.

The recently released title Starhawk for the PlayStation 3 will be receiving complimentary map packs, according to developer LightBox Interactive. Even though the map packs will be offered for free, there are still plans to offer paid DLC, although no announcements as to what that will entail have been announced.

Developer giant Insomniac, creators of classic games franchises like Ratchet & Clank, Spyro the Dragon and Resistance, announced that their next game, Outernauts, would appear on social networking site Facebook. Outernauts puts players in the role of a member of United Earth’s elite force who are tasked with capturing and training exotic aliens.

Fans of the popular Danish building block toy Lego, fantasy series Lord of the Rings and video games are in for a special treat, if rumors are to be believed. A recent leaked, and since removed, image of a Lego video game based on Lord of the Rings has been spotted on retail website ShopTo. That image can still be viewed via Google’s naughty cache.

Another rumor floating around is that the Xbox 360 may be getting the ability to surf the internet, with our without Kinect. The addition of Internet Explorer will add a closer resemblance to that of Windows 8. While no release date has been given, and this is pure speculation, this is something that I’m sure many gamers would welcome the addition.
