Seth Killian, former Capcom Marketing Chief has made the move to Sony’s Santa Monica Studio as Lead Game Designer. As a fan of the fighting genre, Seth will be assisting with the team that is working on PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale. With the fighting game experience Seth brings to the team, I’m even more excited for the game than I was before.

Sony has purchased the online cloud based gaming service Gaikai for $380 million. There were many rumors about Sony looking to get involved with a cloud based service. But no one thought they would straight up buy the service. This is an interesting move for Sony considering their current financial woes. One has to wonder how much Sony will invest in cloud based gaming.

Microsoft has come out and secured a list of web domains. All of the domains revolve around the number 8. Once rumored to be called Xbox Infinite which you should note that when you turn an 8 on its side, it creates the infinite logo, hence its involvement. Microsoft still hasn’t officially announced the name for their Xbox 360 successor yet. Xbox 8 also would fall in line with their windows 8 software and their Windows Phone 8.

When you think PS3 you think Fat and Slim. Now what do you think if I said how about a slimmer of the slim? Details found in a document reveal a new PS3 4000 series. Not to much more is known but we are hoping to hear an announcement on it at GamesCon next month in Germany. During E3 when the question was asked to Shuhei Yoshida about this, he never ruled out the idea.

High Moon Studios, the developer responsible for arguably the best Transformers games to ever be created, War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron, are looking to recreate their success with a licensed IP in the form of a new Marvel comics game. No other news about the game, or High Moon Studios’ involvement have been made available. Keep an eye out for more information to come on July 14 at Comic-Con.

Final Fantasy VII is heading to PCs (again)! Square Enix made the announcement and as a result, had problems with their site because of the sheer number of fans racing to check it out. This time though, the PC version will include bug-fixes and such as well as feature online support, granting player’s achievements, character boosters and cloud saving (Cloud, I get it).
