Welcome to the Weekly Wrap-Up, the weekly (and ever evolving) time when we look at the top five news stories (in no particular order) of the week. E3 was a great week with a lot of big announcements. After some heated debates, we decided on some of the biggest announcements. Below is a brief summary, for the full stories, simply click on the hyperlink. So here’s the list without further adieu:

Ubisoft unveiled a new IP, Watch Dogs. The game was shown on a high-end PC, sparking debate if the title will come out for this generation or next generation of consoles. The story has the city being run by a computer, and the protagonist can hack into the city and use it as a weapon.

More details about the long awaited Halo 4 were revealed this week. Not only will Master Chief be facing off against the Covenant (as always), but a new non-organic AI enemy known as Forerunner was introduced. Along with the new enemy type comes a new type of weapons.

The Last of Us looks to be a game that will get the heart and adrenaline pumping. The main character and the 14 year-old girl he is protecting are making their way through a world that has turned savage. Joe and Ellie must scavenge to survive. This is one to keep your eyes on.

Beyond: Two Souls is a new game where “death is the biggest mystery of mankind.” Ellen Page plays the main character, Jody Holmes who has some connection with some invisible force from beyond. David Cage touted Page’s voice acting, however the clip that was shown had Holmes mostly silent.

Assassin’s Creed III Liberation was built from the ground up for the PlayStation Vita. There is a special PS Vita bundle that will include the crystal white PS Vita, a 4 GB memory card and the game. The game can also be linked to the PlayStation 3 version to unlock special in-game weapons.
