Bungie’s new IP Destiny has yet to be officially announced, but that doesn’t mean its developer can’t talk about it for a bit. And by ‘a bit’, we mean an hour long talk at this year’s Game Developer’s Conference.
Called Brave New World: New Bungie IP, two of Bungie’s own –Writer/Design Director Joe Staten & Art Director Christopher Barrett– will be the lecture’s two speakers, as they delve into the challenges of building a whole new world and the techniques involved in achieving such a feat; from the initial concept, all the way to full-on production.
Those that attend the lecture are said to be able to get a glimpse at Bungie’s new world, where their next ten years of work will take place.
The date, time and location of the lecture have yet to be determined or disclosed, but this year’s GDC is set to take place from March 25th to March 29th in San Francisco. I can also only hope that this lecture will be recorded so that those unable to attend the event will be able to watch at some point as well.
