Although there has already been a Worms 4 (released eight years ago, before Worms 3D), Team 17 has decided that it will be launching their next entry into the Worms series – called ‘Worms 3’ – later this year as an exclusive for iOS devices.
The game will feature online play with asynchronous multiplayer in either ranked or friendly varieties, as well as offering twenty-seven missions across four themes; Beach, Farmyard, Sewer and Spooky.
If you have friends who don’t own the game but are sitting right next to you, or if you are a risk-taker and enjoy playing with strangers, there will also be a local pass and play multiplayer mode for up to four players.
The app will also support d-pad controls and the original touch controls, whilst also featuring Airplay which will allow you to play on your television, as long as you own an Apple TV device.
