At long last, the new Xbox Live Account Migration service is up and running. Previously rumored, and later confirmed, by Microsoft, the new service allows Xbox Live users to easily move their accounts from one region to another; as opposed to going through the irritating song-and-dance that the process used to be. You simply have to go here, sign in and then follow the steps laid out for you.
Achievements, Gold Membership and MS Points make the trip, but other things like Xbox Music and some region specific services do not. Users are urged to download any content they’d like to keep and have access to too later, as content purchases are not refundable.
Additionally, an Xbox Live Account Migration can only be performed once every three months, but really, who is going to need to move their account that often? Happy moving!
