New details have emerged as far what Microsoft is bundling into the next Xbox One update.
For those already in the beta program, some of the social improvements have already been delivered to your console. For the rest of us, expect to receive a much needed update to friend notifications in the near future. The new notification system will notify you when a friend in your favorites list comes online and friends that are engaged in multiplayer will now be visible.
Other updates include an improvement to Blu-ray player support. The app will receive an update where the Xbox One will now have video output support for content recorded at 50Hz.
After the last update, have you been getting static when chatting with your friends online? Microsoft plans to address this issue by releasing a new firmware update for both the controller and headset adapter. Wireless connectivity will also be improved.
Lastly, there is a set of updates centered rebooting and when your system updates. A silent reboot function will be made available when the system updates. An Update On Demand feature is being implemented where a user can allow the console to take automatic updates when Instant On mode is enabled. Once the system completes the update, it will go back into standby mode. There will also be a new option in the systems menu where users can take future updates as they’re made available.
These updates are due this month but no exact date has been released. Microsoft is also said to be working on updates for external storage support as well as improvements to the YouTube app.
