Microsoft Game Studios vice president Phil Spencer has confirmed that the next generation console from Microsoft, the Xbox One, will support external recording devices regardless of the built in functionalty of the new console.
This was during an interview with Polygon where Phil Spencer was asked whether the Xbox One will support footage being captured through the Xbox One’s HDMI ports to which he answered:
“Yep. Exactly like it works today [on the Xbox 360 console].”
Is this good news for you? There is currently no word is the PS4 offers such functionality.
