PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has blown past another video game milestone–this time on the Xbox One.
A little over a month since its initial console release on Dec. 20 of last year, PUBG has hit 4 million active Xbox One players, defying early predictions that the console’s player base would stagnate around 3 million.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, Microsoft has decided to give PUBG players on Xbox One 30,000 Battle Points, the game’s currency. If you purchased the game and registered online before Jan. 31 of this year, the Battle Points are available now. Spend those points on masks, shirts, briefs, shoes and more!
PUBG was developed and published by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of Korean publisher Bluehole. The PC version of the game currently sits at an 85 on Metacritic. Currently, the Xbox One version does not have a Metascore on Metacritic.
If you’re not aware of PUBG’s continued success, here are some other milestones the popular Battle Royale-style game has soared past:
- -First game to top 2 million concurrent users on Steam
- -45 million player base
- -6 million copies sold on Steam in four months
- -Topped both DOTA 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on Steam
