Games With Gold, the free games rewarded to Xbox players that have Gold subscriptions, have been unveiled for the month of March. As per usual, titles that are available through Games With Gold are free to download and users have access to them for as long as their Gold subscription is active.
On Xbox One we have Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishment and Lords of the Fallen. Sherlock Holmes is a mystery game where Holmes and Watson journey throughout London, seeking out answers through six chapters of mysteries. Lords of the Fallen is an action-RPG, in the same vein as the Dark Souls series, where, as the hero, you traverse a variety of locations and face a variety of minor enemies and larger-scale boss encounters.
For Xbox 360, gamers are able to pick up the original Borderlands and Supreme Commander 2. Borderlands is well-known for it’s addictive shoot and loot action, combining RPG elements with the first person shooter genre. Supreme Commander 2 is a real-time strategy game that plays similar to RTS games of old such as Command and Conquer. In it, you must build up your army as you play through a variety of battles and game modes. Additionally, both titles are available for play on Xbox One through backwards compatibility, making for a healthy addition to Xbox One players’ libraries.
Sherlock Holmes: Crime and Punishment is available to players throughout the entire month of March, while Lords of the Fallen is available from March 16 to April 15. Supreme Commander 2 is available from March 1 to March 15, while Borderlands is available from March 16 to March 31.
