Keyblade-wielders are getting a surprise this week because Kingdom Hearts Unchained X is being released on April 7, 2016 (tomorrow!).
In an interview with KH director Tetsuya Nomura, Square Enix’s North American blog gave new insight regarding the Kingdom Hearts franchise that has come to light. According to this interview, Nomura-san states “All three titles within Kingdom Hearts II.8 has a link to Kingdom Hearts Unchained X in some way [and Unchained X will be from the perspective of the player]”.
This mobile game is meant to be a bridge that can be played by long-time KH players and those who have never played a KH game before. There will be a few titles referenced in the game app such as Dream Drop Distance, the cinematic hour-long movie – Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover and KH 0.2: Birth By Sleep- A Fragmentary Passage.
A great new piece of info that has been revealed is that there will be a foreshadowing of Kingdom Hearts 3 gameplay in Unchained X. Players will create an avatar who can eventually obtain and wear different character costumes based on previous KH characters. Kingdom Hearts Unchained X is being released April 7th on both iOS and Android smart devices.
