Those anticipating Link’s adventures in The Legend of Zelda on Wii U will have to wait a bit longer. Nintendo have announced today that the game has been delayed into 2017. An NX version has also been announced with the console, which is releasing in March 2017.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel with this delay, however, as, according to The Wall Street Journal’s Takashi Mochizuki, Nintendo has confirmed that the game will be making an appearance at this year’s E3 as the NX will not be revealed at that event.
The announcement came alongside Nintendo’s fiscal results. How do you feel about this news? Are you excited or angry that it is coming to the NX? Let us know in the comments below.

I’m mostly shocked that the NX will be coming in March of 2017. I for sure thought they would have had something for Christmas. I’m guessing they’ll totally slash the price of the Wii U for Christmas, perhaps as low as 200 to move some units. Regardless i’ll be playing in March but I may as well cancel my Wii U preorder and get an NX version instead.
