Comcept is looking forward to releasing their long awaited game Mighty No. 9 later this month. It has had a tough go of it with delays, but fans will finally get their hands on the Mega Man-style game soon enough.
Even though Mighty No. 9 hasn’t even released yet, there is already a sequel in mind, so says Keiji Inafune in an interview with 4Gamer. He also mentions that there is an anime and a live action movie that are being put together for it. Which sounds exactly what you’d expect out of Japan. They love to cover everything with each thing they do.
“One more thing I’d like to say is that Mighty No. 9 is a [set of] ‘contents,’ meaning it’s not just a game. We’re also moving forward in an anime and live action film for it. Development for a sequel is already in our minds, and we all share the feeling of ‘we’ll do it even if it doesn’t sell’.”
It sounds like not only will there be a sequel to Mighty No. 9, but most likely many of them.
Mighty No. 9 is set to release in North America and Japan on June 21 and Europe on June 24, 2016 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC.

Well, this article sure aged poorly…there hasn’t been a single Mighty No. 9 sequel made to this day!
Hey, it might still happen. Keiji is still over at Level-5 so they could bring that sequel to life if they have no shame.
Got to keep hope alive man. 🙂
