We’re back at it again. Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan rejoice with discussions of Oscar contender, Jackie, from director Pablo Larrain and starring Natalie Portman as Jackie Kennedy. We talk about accents, grief and the experimental nature of the film. Not strictly a biopic, Jackie has plenty to discuss including Portman’s performance and the haunting score by Mica Levi. Is Jackie and Oscar frontrunner? You’ll have to listen to find out.
As for other movies, Dylan managed to catch up on plenty of films including The Wailing, Rules Don’t Apply and Christine. So hear his thoughts on those, and Chris talks about the upcoming animated film, Sing, which opens on December 21st. There’s also a lot to talk about when it comes to the Golden Globe nominations and we do some quick predictions of what we think will win. Oh and there was a The Fate of the Furious trailer so naturally we’re going to talk all about that.
Next week is Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, so prepare for some hot takes on the first spin-off film in the franchise. We’ll also finally discuss Westworld.
