SEGA has confirmed that the classic Dreamcast game, Jet Set Radio will be released on the PlayStation Vita alongside the versions for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. A demo will be playable at E3 as well.
The updated version will include the original soundtrack from the 2000 classic. The Vita version of Jet Set Radio will take advantage of the Vita’s unique input mechanisms as well. Players will be able to use the touch screen to interact with the environments of Tokyo-to in new ways, from touch functionality graffiti and using the Vita’s camera. According to SEGA, the Vita version is the same as the console or PC game.
“The fan reaction to our recent reveal of Jet Set Radio has been incredible!” said Haruki Satomi, Senior Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA. “As Jet Set Radio is focused on creativity, the touch capabilities of the PlayStation VITA are proving to be a perfect fit.”
Jet Set Radio will be available via Xbox LIVE Arcade, the PlayStation Network and as a digital download for the PC this summer.
