Another firmware update is up on PSN. It is an optional update which is said to stabilize software on the console. PlayStation released a firmware update just last week which had said to improve headset compatibility. This update then led to another fix.
The update should take no more than 5 minutes and if you are a PS Plus member you probaly won’t even notice that it happened due to the fact it will auto update while your away. This has become more frequent now with Sony lately and is starting to get on peoples nerves.
The update was announced on Sony’s Twitter. The tweet read
“PS3 system software update 4.21 will be released soon. It’s a minor, optional update that improves software stability.”
Whats your opinion viewer’s? Getting frustrated every time you turn on your PS3 and see an update? Or does it even bother you in the slightest? Let us know in the comment section below.

ALL MY SAVED DATA GOT LOST AFTER THIS UPDATE!!!
I wouldn’t say the updates are pointless, obviously there is some reason for them, that likely 95% of people wouldn’t understand or bother worrying about anyway. I don’t see why people are so bent out of shape, it’s 5 minutes, not a huge deal. At least it shows that Sony is actually working on the system; if they only updated once every 6 months, all the same people would complain that Sony wasn’t doing enough to update their system, and should be putting out updates way more frequently! Nobody’s ever happy nowadays.
These updates are pointless. They don’t do anything important, and they don’t improve “software stability”.
I’m not too bothered by the updates. They occasionally add new features.(Though I wish they would tell us exactly what was added) And of course keeping the hackers at bay.
