In a letter to GameStop from the Assassin’s Creed 3 team, it was stated that a separate development team is being created to handle “post-launch episodic content” for AC3.
“We are currently in the process of creating a complementary development team that will begin working on post-launch episodic content to continue the Game of the Year experience that Assassin’s Creed 3 will undoubtedly deliver. With a dedicated team specifically to this content we plan to set the bar for quality DLC in our industry,” the message read.
The letter, which was thanking GameStop for its support in helping reach a “pre-order goal”, went on to mention a “Season Pass”, saying, “We know you’re familiar with the ‘Season Pass’ concept and, beginning shortly, we’ll start to take pre-orders of our very own.”
Seems like there will be plenty of DLC content for all you AC enthusiasts. It’s not yet known whether it’ll be single player or multiplayer DLC at this point. It’s also unknown whether the letter is actually genuine or not. To judge for yourself, you can check it out on Kotaku.
