So there’s this little storm currently taking place in the Northeastern part of the USA, called Hurricane Sandy. I’m sure you’ve probably heard of it by now. As such, GameStop has seen fit to close all of their stores that could be in the path of the storm and have notified customers about the situation. Here, courtesy of their Facebook page:
“Our top priority is the safety of our employees and customers. In compliance with directives issued by state and local authorities, stores in the path of Hurricane Sandy will remain closed until it is safe to re-open and midnight openings for Assassin’s Creed III have been cancelled in the northeast. Customers should check with their local stores for details on when we will re-open.”
I suppose that the safety of human life is much more valuable than Assassin’s Creed III and ACIII: Liberation, it is also nice of the company to inform people of such a decision. I’d advise checking which stores in your area are still standing sometime after today though. Again, because of the storm and all that.
