The third-person shooter spin-off in PopCap’s Plants Vs. Zombies series, Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, is coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360 on February 18th (Feb. 20th in Europe), EA announced today.
The game, powered by the Frostbite 3 Engine, will have 10 unique maps in which players can experience the game’s three different game types, including:
- Garden & Graveyards (12v12 competitive)- Plants defend their garden bases from zombies who are trying to turn them into graveyards.
- Team Vanquish (12v12 competitive) – PvZ: Garden Warfare’s version of Team Deathmatch.
- Garden Ops – Four player co-op survival mode.
The Xbox One version of the game will get two additional modes: local split screen co-op and Boss Mode, where players have a top down view of the action on the ground and can support their team by providing intel, dropping health, reviving players and utilizing explosive artillery strikes. This mode also supports Kinect and any SmartGlass device.
Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will release for $39.99/£34.99 on Xbox One and $29.99/£24.99 on Xbox 360. A PC version of the game is said to be coming at a later time.
