Jonathan Nolan, who was responsible for bringing The Dark Knight Rises, The Dark Knight and The Prestige to life through his screenplays, has recently explained how he and his brother Christopher are no longer involved with any of the upcoming films in DC Comics’ cinematic universe.
During an interview with ComingSoon, Jonathan talked about his brother’s last involvement with a DC-related project in Zack Snyder’s controversial take on Superman in Man of Steel, while also not ruling out the possibility of the Nolan brothers one day returning to work on a future comic book movie.
“I love those guys and my brother was involved in ‘Man of Steel’ with Zack [Snyder] and David [Goyer],” Jonathan said. “I kind of feel like that chapter for us is closed.”
The Nolan brothers are preparing to release their highly anticipated sci-fi film Interstellar this year, which is the first movie the duo have collaborated on since The Dark Knight Rises in 2012.
Starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and Michael Caine, Interstellar is scheduled to launch on November 5th in North America and November 7th in the UK.
