According to Anime News Network, the online magazine Yawaraka Spirits announced Hana to Alice Satsujin Jiken (The Case of Hana & Alice) anime film is to become a manga mini-series. Dowman Sayman will illustrate the manga that is set to launch coinciding the film’s release in February 2015.
Hana to Alice Satsujin Jiken is a prequel film to the live action 2004 film, Hana and Alice which is a teen romance film. Like every girl who transfers to a high school, problems are expected to rise but not to the extent of these two girl’s quandaries. Alice crushes on a stranger on a train and jokes saying Hana can have his brother Masashi. It turns out Hana and Alice end up enrolling in Masahi’s high school.
Hana finds Masahi unconscious from a crash into a garage after stalking him. Hana pretends he has amnesia and she is his girlfriend. Masashi believes her but then falls for Alice who pretends to be his ex-girlfriend for Hana’s sake. The story further develops as Masashi find out the truth about the love triangle and his amnesia.
