One of the minds behind some of the industry’s biggest superhero games is headed to DICE studios.
Eric Holmes, whose work encompasses such cult-classics as The 2005’s The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and 2009’s Prototype, announced his move to the Sweden-based studio earlier today.
His career spans more than sixteen years of games, from Earthworm Jim to Gears of War 3 to 2013’s Batman: Arkham Asylum prequel, Batman: Arkham Origins from Warner Bros. Montreal.

DICE, whose own work includes EA’s Battlefield series and Mirror’s Edge, is currently hard at work on both an upcoming entry into LucasArts’ Star Wars: Battlefront series as well as a pending Mirror’s Edge prequel game. It’s unknown whether Holmes will be working on either, given his open-world expertise.
On a related note, DICE’s latest work, Battlefield: Hardline, will see a cross-gen release next month for Playstation and Xbox after completing its open-beta testing, whose results you can read about from our own Lachlan Cotter.
