Following a 30 minute demo of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, I managed to get my hands on the stunning game and give you my thoughts on this stealth, sniping title. Sniper is due to release in the second quarter of 2016.
First thing you should probably know, whether you are a fan of the series or a newbie, is that Sniper focuses heavily on realism — so much so that an ex sniper himself is actually helping the development of the game, assuring that the way you traverse the terrain, the skills you possess, and the actual act of sniping are accurate. The level designer for CI Games also worked on titles such as League of Legends and Fallout 4, putting true experience into development. Although I’m not a huge fan of realistic military games, you have a real sense of danger from every movement and I can certainly see the appeal for fans of the genre.
Accounting for distance, wind speed, humidity, etc., the tactical sniping makes every kill very rewarding, and it’s one shot, one kill. It’s very easy to get immersed into the world with its beautiful scenery and dangerous environment, planning out every move with several ways to go about it. You’re given different tools and options for every mission, meaning you can play to your liking. If you prefer to get up close and personal, use your drone for your reconnaissance, or even kill as many people as you can without being detected, you choose how you want to finish the mission, and that affects you as a character. If you’re into stabbing enemies and disarming every mine you can find to keep you safe, you will improve these abilities through practice, not with experience points or skill points.
I always enjoy having the ability to choose how you want to tackle something, and Sniper definitely gives you that. I followed the demo mostly just so I wouldn’t die, but it was clear to see that you can use different tools and get to locations through other means to make your playthrough your own. It’s not just sniping in the game, it’s planning your every move, hacking, disabling, hiding, and finding the best way to kill your targets.
Fans of the series will love this new addition, being the biggest and best looking game to date, and hardcore military shooter fans will be happy to discover a title like this one. If you’re a fan of games like Call of Duty however, then this might not be the game for you.

Its seems to be most realistic sniper game ever. I think that everyone should try skills in Sniper Gjost warrior III, especialy CoD and BF lovers. They will get a lesson of patience and achive reward for a good shot…or for a quick run befor catching up with enemies:)

I agree, they certainly work too slow. But alright, what can we do? Only wait to next year and then… Close the door, turn off you phone, grab keg of beer and never turn off SGW 😀
