Blizzard’s second phase of the closed beta for Overwatch will be coming on February 9th for North America and Europe and will be available for anyone who had access to the last beta period.
The new beta, according to a press release, will have:
- An all-new progression system
- Two new maps, including a new game mode
- Several hero balance updates
- And a variety of Private Game updates, including full AI matches.
Overwatch is a 6v6 team based shooter which includes 21 characters at this point in time. In a previous press release, the CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment said, “We’re building Overwatch to be the first-person shooter we’ve always wanted to play, with a vibrant world, awesome heroes, and an emphasis on tightly focused cooperative gameplay.”
Overwatch: Origins Edition will be available sometime this Spring for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. If you want to register for the beta, you can do so here.
