Creative Assembly has released a trailer for their upcoming title, Alien Invasion, set for release in late 2014. The main protagonist of the title will be Amanda Ripley and the game is said to be looking to mimic the horror and tense atmosphere of the original films.
Improved AI will be included, which will have the alien be more challenging and menacing. As stated by Alistair Hope, creative lead for the title, “Our Alien is a truly terrifying creature, as intelligent as he is hostile, relentless, brutal and unstoppable.”
Supporting this is Jeffrey Godsick, consumer products president at Twentieth Century Fox who remarked, “Creative Assembly has created a truly incredible gaming experience, capturing perfectly the very core of what has made the Alien franchise remain relevant after 35 years. This partnership has led to the creation of a game that is simply outstanding and sets the tone for what is to come this year for the 35th anniversary of Alien.”
The game is being developed for the PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
