It’s the start of a new week and a new set of anime and manga news to cover, so I’ll be listing the best updates and announcements we received last week.

RE-MAIN Teaser Trailer
The official Twitter account for the original anime RE-MAIN received a new teaser trailer and additional staff listing. The anime is set to premiere sometime this year.
Newly added cast members include Souma Saitou as Shougo Amihama, Makoto Furukawa as Takekazu Ejiri, Tasuku Hatanaka as Yutaka Papayaro Inumata, and Daisuke Hirose as Yoshiharu Ushimado.
Love After World Domination Anime Announced
Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine announced an anime adaptation for Takahiro Wakamatsu’s Koi wa Sekai Seifuku no Ato de (Love After World Domination) alongside a teaser visual.
Anime News Network describes the series as:
The romantic comedy manga explores the relationship between Fudō Aikawa, the leader of the Gelato 5 hero squadron whose aim is bring about world peace, and Desumi Magahara, the warrior leader of the Gecko secret organization whose aim is world domination.
Kakushigoto: Himegoto wa Nan Desu ka Premiere Date
The official website and Twitter account for the anime adaptation of Kōji Kumeta’s Kakushigoto manga revealed that the previously announced theatrical compilation film titled Kakushigoto: Himegoto wa Nan Desu ka (What is a Secret?) will premiere in Japan on July 9. A teaser trailer and visual were also revealed.
Funimation describes the series as:
Single father Kakushi Goto has a secret. He’s a top-selling artist of popular erotic manga, but his impressionable young daughter, Hime, can never find out! Now he’s having to bend over backwards just to keep her inquisitive little mind from discovering what he does for a living. A father-daughter tale of love and laughter.
Higurashi: When They Cry – SOTSU Trailer
The official website of the Higurashi: When They Cry – SOTSU anime, reveled an extended version of its first promotional video. The anime will premiere in July and Funimation will stream the anime as it airs in Japan.

Tesla Note Anime Announced
Kodansha announced that Masafumi Nishida, Tadayoshi Kubo, and Kōta Sannomiya’s Tesla Note manga will receive an anime adaptation to premiere sometime this year. A promotional video was also revealed alongside the staff and cast listing.
Kodansha describes the manga’s story as:
Mission T is a secret operation to save the world from destruction. Trained as a ninja from a young age, Botan Negoro, raised to become the ultimate spy, teams up with another excellent spy, Kuruma. Their aim is to recover the legacy of the genius inventor Nikola Tesla, the “Shards of Tesla.” Can the two outwit the agents of other countries who are also pursuing these fragments? A super-original spy thriller begins.
The World Ends With You The Animation Changes Opening Theme
Last week, it was announced that the anime for the The World Ends With You will change its opening song by Japanese band ALI following the arrest of the band’s drummer Kadio Shirai or “Kahadio” for reasons unknown.
The World Ends With You The Animation premiered on April 9 and is currently streaming on Funimation.
A Couple of Cuckoos Anime Announced
ANN and a new official website was created to announce the anime adaptation of Miki Yoshikawa’s A Couple of Cuckoos (Kakkō no Iinazuke) manga, which is set to premiere sometime in 2022.
Kodansha Comics publishes the manga in English and describes the story as:
16-year-old super-studier Nagi Umino, second-year student at the Megurogawa Academy high school, was switched at birth. On his way to a dinner to meet his birth parents, he accidentally meets the brash, outspoken, Erika Amano, who is determined to make Nagi her fake boyfriend as she never wants to actually marry. But once Nagi makes it to dinner, he finds his parents have decided to resolve the hospital switch by conveniently having him marry the daughter his birth parents raised…who turns out to be none other than Erika herself!
Aquatope of White Sand New Details
The official website for the original anime Aquatope of White Sand (Shiroi Suna no Aquatope) revealed a promotional video, additional cast, theme song artists, and new visuals.
4th Girls und Panzer das Finale film Trailer
The official website and Twitter account for the Girls und Panzer das Finale film series revealed a new teaser trailer for the upcoming fourth film. A promotional video and visual for the series’ third film alongside promotional character and tank visuals for Yoko and T-26 were also revealed.
The Way of the Househusband Anime Gets 2nd Part
During a special live program for the anime adaption of Kousuke Oono’s The Way of the Househusband (Gokushufudō) manga, it was announced that the anime will receive a Part 2. The anime released on Netflix globally.
Netflix describes the series as:
This world-class househusband was once a feared legendary member of the yakuza! “The Way of the Househusband” is the long-awaited anime adaptation of the cozy gangster comedy manga about “The Immortal Dragon,” a former yakuza member whose incredible feats are still talked about in the underworld, spending his daily life as a househusband!
Dance Dance Danseur Anime Announced
Shogakukan announced that George Asakura’s Dance Dance Danseur manga is receiving an anime adaptation. Additional details on the anime are yet to be revealed.
Anime News Network describes Dance Dance Danseur as:
The manga centers on Junpei Murao, who was fascinated with ballet as a child, but in his second year of middle school, his father passed away and he decided he needed to become more “masculine,” and he gave up on his aspirations. While still having an attachment to ballet, he takes up the martial art of Jeet Kune Do, and becomes popular in his class. Then one day, a new transfer student named Miyako Godai arrives in Junpei’s class, and her mother runs a ballet studio. Miyako realizes that Junpei is interested in ballet, and invites him to do ballet together.
