Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO Hall H Panel (Friday, July 22)
- Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO took center stage at the San Diego Convention Center during Comic-Con International, when special guest of honor from Japan, Toshio Furukawa (Japanese voice actor for Piccolo), was joined by Christopher R. Sabat (English voice actor for Piccolo and Vegeta) and producer Norihiro Hayashida, to share stories and insights from the film. Lucky attendees were also given an extended first-look at the movie – with approximately the first 20 minutes screened exclusively for the at-full-capacity SDCC audience in Hall H! A new trailer for the film, which will be released in theaters August 19, also debuted during the panel.

Crunchyroll Concert Series
- San Diego Comic-Con attendees joined Crunchyroll for two, back-to-back nights of music and fun out on the San Diego Bayfront at the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park (behind the San Diego Convention Center) for its first-ever Crunchyroll Concert Series!
- Night 1 – Friday, July 22
- Opening Act: Crunchyroll Hime Dance Party with DJ Jun Inagawa
- Headliner: ATARASHII GAKKO!
- Whirlwind pop group ATARASHII GAKKO! represent a new generation of Japanese youth (seishun in their native language), one embracing personal expression and pushing against traditional boundaries a little at a time. The outlandish quartet—comprised of kawaii-but-fierce Mizyu, wildcard Suzuka, graceful Kanon, and funky Rin—break down genre walls to create music mixing elements of pop, jazz, hip-hop, rock, and more, delivered with a punk energy and featuring frantic dance moves, choreographed by the four members themselves.
