Idea Factory International has announced the PC release date for Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online. It will be coming to Steam on February 27th. The game was previously released on PS4 last October.
In this entry in the Neptunia series, you will be playing a hack ‘n’ slash adventure, which is inspired by online fantasy MMO’s. There are a few twists included this time; you can play with others online in 4-player brawls and create your own character with nine different classes to choose from.
The game has received decent reviews with a Metacritic score of 71 and funnily enough users of the website feel exactly the same way with a score of 7.1 at the time of writing. How the PC version will perform is yet to be known.
The characters you play as are goddesses who log in to an MMO to defeat a being called the Demon King. He is behind the disappearances of the creators of the Goddesses of legend in the game that the Gameindustri goddesses have entered inside. It’s a game that has characters satirizing game consoles within a game. That’s pretty meta. There are also rival beta testers in the MMO they are in, as well as system glitches.
Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online also has special attacks called Awakening Skills, and loot, such as cosmetic gear, to collect.
