Cyberpunk 2077 is a roleplaying game. So naturally, you will be playing a character. Your character in Cyberpunk 2077 can have 3 distinct backstories, or Lifepaths as the game calls them, that will affect your entire playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077.
Each Lifepath is chosen at the beginning of the game and affects where in the world you hail from. It also affects stuff like dialogue choices, alliances, how people treat you, and so forth. So let’s take a look at the 3 Lifepaths in Cyberpunk 2077.
Street Kid
As a Street Kid, you know the streets of Night City like the crack of your ass. You’ve been running the streets since you were a child, dodging cops, and making a life for yourself. You’re a familiar face in the city’s seedy underbelly and have some street cred among the people of the streets.
Street Kid has you involved in street races, prostitution, drugs, all the good stuff a street-wise merc is into. It’s a good Lifepath to pick if you want to be singing in tune with Night City. Though it may also put you at odds with certain groups.
Nomad
The Nomad lifepath has you growing up on the outskirts of Night City. As a Nomad, a family is everything to you. And you’ve just gotten through leaving your old family behind. It’s time for you to move on and seek a new life in Night City.
As a Nomad, your experience in the desert surrounding Night City is second to none. You will be more of an outsider in Night City, but any connections to the outside will be on your side.
Corpo
If you want, you can start as a Corpo. This puts you inside the Arasaka corporation, climbing the corporate ladder to the top as your main objective. This puts you in bed with the corporations and their dealings.
As a result, you are able to read between the lines of corporate people more easily. It gives you more unique dialogue options when dealing with corporate representatives. Of course, it might also make you a bit unpopular with street gangs, but nothing a gun can’t solve.
Your Choice
So what will it be? Let us know in the comments what lifepath YOU will choose when Cyberpunk 2077 launches on November 19. And stay tuned for more Cyberpunk 2077 guides and news!
