Bandai Namco has unveiled their digital pre-order offers on the PC, PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One for the much-anticipated addition to the Souls series: Dark Souls III.
On the Xbox One – for a limited time – those who pre-order Dark Souls III from the Xbox Store will receive the first Dark Souls game, and it will be playable on Xbox 360 now and later on the Xbox One via Backward Compatibility. The code for Dark Souls will be delivered to players’ Xbox message center within 7-10 days. It will also be redeemable on the Xbox One console. More information on Backward Compatibility can be found here.
Those who pre-order on the PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Store will receive a digital copy of the Dark Souls III soundtrack, and an exclusive pre-order theme for players’ PS4 consoles. Access to the soundtrack will become available on April 12th of this year.
The afore-mentioned perk is pretty much the same perk for pre-orders made via Steam as they will also receive a digital copy of the soundtrack. However, if players already own Dark Souls and Dark Souls II in their Steam library, they will receive a $5 discount towards their purchase of Dark Souls III.
There is also a digital deluxe edition available for all three platforms. Priced at $84.99, the deluxe edition will include the aforementioned perks, as well as an additional PS4 theme and access to the Season Pass for Dark Souls III, the details of which will become available at a later date.
Dark Souls III is expected to release initially in Japan next month on the 24th with a worldwide release to follow on April 12th.
