The original Lucky’s Tale came as a pack-in for every Oculus Rift and showcased how platforming adventures could work in virtual reality. In a world where Yooka-Laylee exists and a Crash Bandicoot remaster is out at the end of this month, it only makes sense that Microsoft would try to nab a platformer exclusive for Xbox One and Windows 10. Super Lucky’s Tale was announced at Microsoft’s E3 press conference and will bring Lucky and friends on an adventure to rescue the Book of Ages. You can watch a trailer for the game below.
Super Lucky’s Tale follows Lucky as he tries to get the Book of Ages from Jinx, the villain of the game. He is trying to reshape the world and its up to players to find out why with the help of Lucky’s sister. The game will be an Xbox Play Anywhere title, allowing players to purchase the game once and play it on both Xbox One and Windows 10, at no additional cost. All of your progress from Lucky’s adventure will translate over to whichever platform you decide to play on.
Super Lucky’s Tale will be released on November 7th, 2017 for Xbox One and Windows 10. It is being developed by Playful, who also developed Lucky’s Tale.
