Those of you who still enjoy harvesting achievements will be happy to learn that Microsoft has confirmed that you will be able to earn two sets of achievements for titles that are available on both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
This was confirmed when Microsoft’s Xbox One executive Marc Whitten spoke to IGN saying:
“Every game has its own set of achievements, so if you’re playing Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox 360 and on Xbox One, you can earn a separate set of Gamerscore in each game. But on the Xbox One version, you’re getting a much richer set of features, such as seeing your achievements progress on the Xbox One console, being able to unlock new achievements throughout the year, and earning real prizes inside and outside of the game.”
Eurogamer then noted that cross-generation titles currently include:
- Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag
- Call of Duty: Ghosts
- FIFA 14
- Need for Speed: Rivals
- Watch Dogs
Will you be making use of this feature and picking up additional gamerscore?
