ZeniMax Online Studios has launched The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset, the next Chapter in the MMORPG. The game is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac. Summerset offers up:
- a new zone
- new Elder Scrolls story
- the Psijic Order skill line,
- Jewelry Crafting and much more.
Summerset
Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset is playable solo. However, with a world full of powerful bosses, dank and mysterious Delves, and a challenging new 12-player trial, players and their friends will find hours of online adventure by banding together to conquer the world’s toughest obstacles. Plus, with ESO’s level-balancing system, new players can group with veterans at any time.
The Psijic Order’s announcement was the last Summerset news for players. Only teased in prior installments. Lawrence Schick, Elder Scrolls Online‘s Loremaster spoke about the lore behind the group, saying:
“The Psijic Order have stated that they are primarily interested in learning the fundamental basics of the world and universe, what holds it together, and what could threaten it. They are dedicated to knowledge and study for its own ends, and to them, knowledge is its own reward.”
Psijic Order Vs Mages Guild
Mr. Schick was quick to highlight the differences between them and the Mages Guild. They both have an interest in magic, though how and why they use it are the key differences.
“Unlike the Mages Guild, the Psijics have little interest in teaching anybody anything, and they are not interested in taking an active role in Tamriel. When they did engage in the world, it was only in an advisory capacity, and they withdrew even from that limited role when they disappeared.”
Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
