Nintendo posted the Fire Emblem Warriors extended gameplay trailer today within their Fire Emblem-focused Nintendo Direct.
If the gameplay trailer looks familiar to you, it should. Fire Emblem Warriors is being developed by Koei Tecmo Games, and by the same development team as those responsible for Hyrule Warriors. It appears the same concept is being used in this title: using a franchise’s characters and set them up to battle against hoards of enemies. Although the characters making an appearance in the game will be familiar to Fire Emblem fans, hopefully the developers will be including some unexpected surprises.
Fire Emblem Warriors is scheduled to be released in Fall 2017. Nintendo is publishing FE Warriors on both the upcoming Switch and the New 3DS. This little bit of news may allude to the extended life-span of the 3DS since the game isn’t being released until the Fall. Perhaps Nintendo is planning on supporting their popular handheld for at least another year. What are your thoughts on the announcement? Voice your opinion in our comment section below!
