Developer and publisher miHoYo announced today that its latest open-world action RPG title Genshin Impact is set to release on September 28th for PC, Android, and iOS. This upcoming free-to-play title will allow players to roam the vast lands of an exotic world alone or adventure with friends in a cross-platform co-op mode.
Previous coverage of the title was done here at BagoGames, and we’ve even reviewed a previous closed beta. Aside from that, new playable characters have been revealed, such as Chongyun. That said, let’s take a look at the structuring of the game, and how it will work.
A Crossplay Adventure?
Genshin Impact’s release at the end of September brings the world of Teyvat to PC, Android, and iOS and all of its ARPG elements. Something else that’s absolutely massive about the release is that these three platforms, along with the later PS4 release, will all be able to play together via crossplay.
As always, players have the option to explore Teyvat solo, and the adventure will not change content-wise. Another huge aspect of the game’s release is that it will be free-to-play, meaning anyone can just download it and jump in.
miHoYo has also said that the game will continue to expand with more cities, following stories, new characters, and seasonal events through live-service updates to enrich the gameplay and expedition in Teyvat. So, content updates will be plentiful, from the sounds of it.
Developed and published by miHoYo, Genshin Impact will be available on September 28th on Apple’s App Store, Google Play Store, and Genshin Impact’s official website. Pre-registration for the iOS and Google Play versions will be available today, so keep an eye out for it.
