The Giana Sisters, or Great Giana Sisters, was originally released to retro consoles Amiga, Commodore 64 and the Atari ST among others back in the day it was first released and of recent times has been making a comeback onto the gaming scene.
The first time I became aware of the Giana Sisters series was when a new title emerged on Apple’s iTunes store, which was released more than twenty years after the original. Since then however the game has gathered a cult following due to its similarities to the Super Mario series and sense of addictive gameplay mechanics and catchy-as-anything soundtrack.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise, then, to learn that the recently (last year) launched PC title, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, is coming to consoles on the 20th March, a mere five days away!
The game is due to launch on Xbox Live Arcade first for 1,200 Microsoft Points and although no specifics on price, or a release date, were announced for the PSN Store, the title is coming to there also!
Will you be trying out the Giana Sisters series when it jumps onto digital platforms next week?
