After yet another Granblue Fantasy Fes, we have another set of news regarding the character roster. However, this might not be as well-received as other pieces of news. Why? Because it turns out that GranBlue Fantasy Versus has two different Character Passes.
Chaos Bringer, Narmaya, Soriz, Djeeta, and one unannounced character will join GBFV as playable characters as part of the “Character Pass 1″. So yes, that means all five of these characters will all be DLC and monetized in some fashion. Not only that, but Cygames also announced that another (recently announced) character, Belial will join the roster as part of “Character Pass 2″.
Chaos Bringer
So, as discussed before, Chaos Bringer will be part of the first Character Pass. If you need a primer, Chaos Bringer is a character that made his first appearance during the “What Makes the Sky Blue” series of scenario events in the mobile RPG’s story.
Chaos Bringer is a bit of a special case because he will receive the Goku/Vegeta (SSGSS) treatment in DBFZ. While he is part of the DLC roster, players will be able to unlock him. At launch, Chaos Bringer will only appear as a boss character. But, following an update in early March 2020, he can be unlocked as a playable character by clearing RPG Mode.
Chaos Bringer is voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi. Here are some screenshots for the game’s boss character:
Chaos Bringer also … Brings the power of Avatar, the manifestation of destruction. This guy is obsessed with becoming a beacon of supremacy. As such, he wields the Chaos Matter to mold the Sky Realm, Astral Realm, and Crimson Horizon realms.
Chaos Bringer isn’t the only character that will make his rounds. Another boss character who runs by the name of Belial will also make an appearance in Granblue Fantasy Versus. Belial will appear in the story of RPG Mode. He will also join the playable roster as a downloadable content character via Character Pass 2. Here are the first screenshots and concept art for this baddie:
