Guilty Gear Strive developer Arc System Works has announced a new event to commemorate the launch of the upcoming title, releasing in ten days, as of the time of publishing. The announcement follows the second Open Beta that they released during the previous month. The game’s had various bits of news, regarding new characters, the soundtrack, and even the Story Mode.
The Launch Weekend Event also received a date and time that you can watch it. You can watch the event on Arc System Works America’s Twitch page, and it will take place on June 12th. Keen video game players will be aware that this coincides with the E3 2021 event, however, there’s no link between this and that event.
What The Event Is Doing
The Guilty Gear Strive Launch Weekend Event, produced by Level Up Productions, the event will feature new character exhibitions, public lobbies where people can play against some of the best Guilty Gear players in North America, and a Team Region Battle Royal featuring players from Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Everyone is welcome for the public lobbies, and all of it will be streamed, again, on Arc System Works America’s Twitch page.
The stream will also be giving back to the community, in the form of giveaways for full game codes for viewers and chat participants, as well. The Launch Weekend will be taking place on June 12th, the same day as day 2 of E3. Whether E3 will show any of the Guilty Gear Strive Launch Weekend, we don’t know. We’ll see you there and cover any new content announcements as they come.
Guilty Gear Strive will be releasing on June 11th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
