It’s the end of a saga. However, many people want to join the students of Class VII in Trails of Cold Steel IV. Considering that this is going to be an epic finale, everyone needs to be on their A-game. Nippon Ichi Software and Falcom have released an overview trailer for the Switch version of TOCS IV. That way, everyone will know what to expect and what the mechanics of the game are.
Explaining the TOCS IV Trailer
The Trails of Cold Steel IV overview gives us some insight into the story. The game shows us the members of the New and Old Class VII. We also get to see their S-Crafts that they can use. As mentioned before, the heroes of Class VII new and old will be joined by Crossbell’s Special Support Section and even the heroes of Liberl!
After the character introductions, we get a deeper look at the combat mechanics. Starting with the Advantage state in which you can sneak up on enemies to immediately start the battle with a turn advantage. Be careful, though, enemies can sneak up on you as well and gain a tactical advantage on you. Afterward, the trailer showcases Brave Orders and BP. This mechanic allows you to take different tactical formations that increase multiple attributes. You get BP by Unbalancing the enemy and using an Assist.
You will need to strengthen your combat links with your allies to get the best results. Of course, that also means effectively using your Crafts and Arts to gain the upper hand. In addition, the trailer briefly explains the Quartz system which allows you to equip 2 Quartz that focuses on different aspects. You can customize your characters so they fulfill different roles at your leisure!
Finally, the trailer showcases some of the mech fights which focus on striking weak points to gain the best results. Afterward, we also get a look at the minigames like Vantage Master, fishing, puzzle games, and even some cooking. Trails of Cold Steel IV is almost here and the excitement of the final chapter is very palpable.
