The Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection has been getting a lot of hype from Mega Man fans. It will let players enjoy 6 different games on modern consoles and PC. Also, the collection will add multiplayer features like Z-Chaser which allows you to compete against other players.
What’s more, you’ll also be allowed to play optional boss battles against Mutos Reploids hailing from MMZ 3 and 4 in ZX thanks to the game’s Link Mode. Mega Man Zero players will also get the GBA’s eReader functionality through the game’s ZZ Cards. In short, players will be treated to the complete and best ways to play Mega Man Z/ZX.
However, it seems like there has been a delay announced by Capcom not too long ago. Unfortunately, Capcom has delayed Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection from its previously planned January 21, 2020 release date to February 25, 2020. So Z/ZX fans will have to wait a little bit longer before being able to play the collection.
Why was the Mega Man Zero/ZX Collection delayed?
In a video message, Mega Man series producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya shared his insight on the delay:
Originally slated for a January 21, 2020 release, today I would like to share that the game will now be released in late February. This news is sure to be disappointing to many of you, and it wasn’t a decision we made lightly.
The team behind Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is working hard to deliver the best experience possible, and wants to bring you a product that will live up to your expectations. To ensure we meet these goals, the game will now be released on February 25, 2020. On behalf of the team, please know that we greatly appreciate your understanding and continued support.
We are fully committed to offering our fans the best game possible when Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is released on February 25. Thank you again for your patience and understanding. R.O.C.K. ON!
While the news might be tragic, we don’t want to see a repeat of an unstable release like when the Mega Man X Collection released. If a delay will prevent this from happening, then this would be better for Mega Man fans who want nothing but the best experience.
