Capcom announced this past weekend that Monster Hunter Generations, previously known as Monster Hunter Cross in Japan, will be released in North America and Europe on July 15th.
Monster Hunter Generations is for the Nintendo 3DS and will introduce brand new mechanics to the MH series. Hunting Styles and Hunter Arts give players a different way to experience the epic quests of hunting monsters. As a special option for hunters, Nintendo and Capcom has brought Limited Edition New 3DS XL consoles to both North America and Europe. Both of these editions will have the emblem of the Fated Four who are new threats to seasoned monster hunters. In North America the New 3DS will be a deep blue. The NA edition will NOT include a pre-installed digital copy of Monster Hunter Generations.
The Limited Edition New 3DS XL European edition will be a deep red and actually does include the pre-installed digital copy of Generations. Monster Hunter Generations will be available in both the physical retail copy and in digital form on the Nintendo eShop. Capcom also stated that a demo will be downloadable from the eShop before the release date.
