Did you know that at https://royal99site.com/ you can play all online gambling games all day long?

Curve Digital and FuturLab’s Peaky Blinders Mastermind, the game based on the events of the well-known Netflix series following the Shelby family, officially released this month. Trying to incorporate Tommy and the entire family’s emotions in a game is not a simple job, especially when you watched the entire series and felt the emotions rumbling through your mind. So, did the developers manage to create a sense of family and trust? Well, let’s take on the role of Tommy Shelby and family to conquer Birmingham! Here is my Peaky Blinders Mastermind review on PC.

BY ORDER OF THE PEAKY BLINDERS

Peaky Blinders Mastermind, as already mentioned, is dedicated to Netflix’s flagship show that needs no introduction. This game tells a story of the events preceding the first season of the TV series. This choice relieves the responsibility of a game too tied to the events of the series, while maintaining the setting of old Birmingham in the 1910s. You begin with the return to the city of Tommy Shelby and his Irish gangster family, and players will need to help our protagonist dominate the city.

Peaky Blinders

AN UNEXPECTED PUZZLE GAME

Peaky Blinders Mastermind was developed by FuturLab and distributed by Curve Digital. The game has a total of 10 levels. Each time when you move to the next level, the difficulty will increase, which will more or less engage the players according to their logical and organizational skills.

The game, in fact, is a very well thought out puzzle game enriched with some fantastic innovative mechanics. All these mechanics will put the strategic skills of the players to the ultimate test. When approaching Peaky Blinders, it is immediately clear that the “Mastermind” referred to in the title is the player himself, who through Tommy will have to coordinate all the activities of the Shelby family.

Take note that they present the game as an isometric puzzle game, purely created to engage the players with logic and puzzle games based mainly on the use of “time”. In the game, we will mainly play the role of Tommy. However, it is possible to jump from one character to another to overcome the puzzles in question, thanks to the unique abilities of the various family members.

Curve Digital

THE CLOCK IS TICKING

As mentioned above, the game actually has quite some interesting peculiarities aimed at solving puzzles. The most noticeable of them all is the time management system of the game. The primary purpose in Peaky Blinders Mastermind is to solve the 10 levels that make up the game in the shortest amount of time.

Based on the time taken, you will get medals (gold, silver, or bronze) that make up the total reward system in the game. Unfortunately, I must say that this reward system is not the best, as it has a limited amount of options. To complete the missions in the shortest amount of time, therefore, it will be necessary to weigh every move and plan the interactions between the various characters in detail.

The key gameplay component to achieve this goal is the timeline. This timeline will take note of the various activities carried out in the course of the level. By using the timeline, you can rewind at will. Take note that this is the only real “condition” to proceed in the game. The activities of the different characters are written, one at a time, on the timeline in question.

This means that, for example, when you are playing with Tommy, you will need to open an inaccessible door, but first you will have to sneak in with Finn, keep the door open, go back in time on the timeline, and walk through the door with Tommy before it closes behind you.

Describing this mechanic in words can be a little confusing, but I can assure you that the incorporation of this mechanic in-game was handled really well. This, paired with the quick switch between characters, dictates the pace of the game and makes up 90% of the experience, making Curve Digital and FuturLab’s Peaky Blinders Mastermind a really fun and well thought out puzzle game.

NOTHING LIKE FAMILY

As already mentioned, the other key component in Peaky Blinders Mastermind, in addition to the management of the timeline, is the rapid switch between the characters. Although the adventure is mainly based on the events of Tommy, just like in the TV series, our protagonist will be engaged in “manipulating” the remaining members of the family to achieve the overall goal.

A quick summarization of the game will be to say that you start at point A, overcoming various obstacles to reach point B. To overcome the obstacles in question, you will need to rely on the skills of Ada, Arthur, Finn, and the other members of the Peaky Blinders gang.

An important part in this game is to keep Tommy unnoticed, so we must distract the guards with, for example, Ada’s skills. If a hole is too narrow for the adults in the family, we will have to use Finn’s slim size (take note that here he is still a child) to reach the point in question, and so on.

This, combined with the timeline, will be the principal weapon available to players, who will have to work hard to get to the end of the proposed levels. The game uses a simple but functional isometric view, with a useful function of moving the camera, oriented to the analysis of levels and strategic planning of the moves.

Although the technical sector is not phenomenal, both Birmingham and the characters are rendered quite well. The selection of the soundtracks in the game fully captures the British-gangster mood of the series. In no time at all, you will feel like a gangster. The artwork, last but not least, is of outstanding quality, which would also make for very good desktop wallpapers.

Peaky Blinders game

Do you want to try Curve Digital and FuturLab’s Peaky Blinders Mastermind? What do you think of my Peaky Blinders Mastermind review on PC? Please leave your thoughts in the comments below. The Review

Peaky Blinders Mastermind

7 Score

The game presents itself as a fully thought out puzzle game, with mechanics already seen but well revisited. And, as an extra bonus, it is also based on a very successful TV series. The technical sector could have been better as well as the meager reward system, however, you will still be a satisfied gangster.

PROS

  • Based on the tv series
  • Well thought out puzzles
  • Good choice of characters
  • Interesting mechanics

CONS

  • Technical sector not excellent
  • Not very long-lived
  • Lean reward system
  • Poor cutscenes

Review Breakdown

  • 7 0
