Remember that Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity trailer that aired a few days ago? While being kind of silly, a lot of gamers noticed the supposedly Japanese exclusive Pikachu 3DS in the trailer. It turned out that Nintendo was teasing the limited edition handheld with the game after all.
The Pikachu Edition Nintendo 3DS XL will launch on March 14, come packaged with a 4GB SD memory card, and retail for $199.99 while supplies last. Considering how many fans demanded the system come over here from Japan you might want to place a pre-order the system at the earliest time possible. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity will launch on the same day, but while not be bundled with the system.
Nintendo has also stated that between March 21 and April 30 new owners of a 3DS and either Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity or Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon will have a chance to receive a code for one of five games after registering the products on Club Nintendo. The games are Super Mario 3D Land, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone!, Star Fox 64 3D, or Freakyforms Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive! Now that is a pretty electrifying deal.
