Game Reviews

Cameos are an awkward beast. The best ones, I find, are the cameos where you don't notice unless you know the right handshakes and winks to get it. Otherwise they blend seamlessly into the crowd...

At first glance, Crazy Strike Bowling EX looks around 10 years old. The out-of-date character models and textures, the audio design, generic characters, music, and overall style feels like it's from the PlayStation 2. However,...

Space Moth DX is an interesting game, to say the least. The "Bullet Hell" genre isn't quite as popular as it once was, but there are a few games that certainly stand out. Space Moth DX...

Green Lava Studios has given gamers a very interesting title in Fenix Furia. Think of this game as a mash-up of Sonic: The Hedgehog, Super Mario Brothers and Braid. The outcome would be a very...

We are now on the third episode of IO-Interactive's Hitman reboot, and it's clear that the development team has not only been learning as they go, but they are also building towards something big. Paris...

I love reflex-based games, I can’t begin to tell you how many hours I’ve spent on games like Flappy Bird just trying to get as high of a score as possible. Color Switch is a game...

Did you know I spent my early teens playing flash games? I'd frequent Newgrounds, spam the forums with worthless opinions (racking up a post count north of 20k), and then use the flash films/games as...

As far as I’ve read, the Atelier series is a series of games developed yearly by Gust Co. Ltd dating all the way back to 1997 on the PlayStation, with the first instalment of the...

When do fan-service and the concept of “sex sells” go too far? Many would say it varies from person to person, but I myself would say that it goes too far when a video game...

Are you a fan of Fallout? Are you a fan of the 80s? Are you a fan of roguelikes?  If you answered yes to at least two of those, Wasted: A Post-Apocalyptic Pub Crawler is probably a game...

If I had to describe Guilty Gear in one word, it would have to be "badass." This stylish franchise has always been known for ridiculous, other-worldly character designs, power metal background music, and high octane...

World War II. Yep, that'll work for an intro. Everything else would be redundant, bloated and unnecessary. ...Wh-What? Sorry, the editor is giving me a disapproving stare. It's just, what could I even add to...

Alright everyone, get your mind out of the gutter. This game is the complete opposite of what you are thinking. You see no skin in this game and there is no smootching. However, if you...

There is something to be said about a game that wants to do a lot and figures out how to make it fit cohesively. When I started Anima: Gate of Memories, I wasn't immediately sold on...

Wow. I’m speechless. There are still AAA games that come out in such a bad state that it’s shameful some publishers would allow the sale of it. I mean, I understand in some respect if...

It's X-Men week here at BagoGames in honor of the new film X-Men: Apocalypse, which opened this past weekend to the tune of $80M. On Wednesday, we aired the Film Fallout Podcast episode on the...

Charming is the word I could use to describe Ara Fell best. I've played my fair share of games that try to tap into the nostalgia of SNES\Playstation Era J-RPG fans. Unfortunately, most of them fail...

Overwatch is the first person shooter that the genre needed. With its cartoony characters, bright visuals, and a game that is just bursting with personality, Overwatch is a breathe of fresh air in a genre...

Push Me Pull You is a multiplayer wrestling game about wrestling and friendship, or at least that's what it said in the game description, and it's really quite weird. Seriously, this game is so weird...

With three main series titles and a Vita spin-off, Naughty Dog's Uncharted franchise has become one of the biggest PlayStation exclusives in recent memory. However, such an extensive history has also made it extremely familiar. Having their...

Struggling to find an interesting game to play on the Google Play Store, I stumbled across The Jungle Book: Mowgli's Run. I relatively enjoyed the movie, as you might have heard on the Film Fallout...

There's a point in Far Harbor where you're accessing the memories of DiMA - a synth who hosts a refuge for other synths - and I wanted to throw my controller through the wall and stop playing...

Mobile games are typically what I try to avoid. To me, they lack in-depth gameplay, story, and the touch interface gets in the way of any fun that I can have. However, Kingdom Hearts Unchained...

I always wonder why developers don't make more dinosaur games. I recently finished up Jurassic: The Hunted on the Xbox 360 and Dino Stalker on the PlayStation 2 (read that Retro Review HERE); both are very...

Space exploration has been a rather popular theme for gaming lately, with titles such as No Man’s Sky and Star Citizen taking the headlines of impressive indie and AAA games on the market. But some...

Puzzle Platformers can either be done quite well (in the case of the Oddworld series or Thomas was Alone) or can be lackluster and annoying, lacking the imagination that makes the genre so versatile and...
