Sonic and Total War publisher, Sega, will not be appearing at this year’s E3 according to an official E3 listing.
On the E3 website, Sega is not on the exhibitor list for one of gaming’s biggest events of the year. Whether or not Sega will be announcing anything at a console manufacturer’s press conference is yet to be known.
Sega previously this year confirmed around 300 layoffs at the company, and offered them voluntary redundancy. In addition, the US division of Sega moved locations from San Francisco to Southern California to save money. Perhaps not going to E3 is a way to save costs.
If we receive further updates from Sega regarding their involvement with E3, we will keep you updated.
