The CW has Arrow and The Flash, NBC has Hellblazer and Fox has Gotham. Now CBS is prepping for their own DC Comics TV series, Supergirl, the cousin of Superman. We recently reported that a Supergirl series was in the early stages of development and will be executive produced by Greg Berlanti (Arrow) and Ali Adler (No Ordinary Family). While there is still much unknown about this production, it’s reassuring to know that it now has a home on a network. With the latest addition to DC Comics TV lineup, they will have superhero programs on four of the five top major networks. I wouldn’t hold your breath on anything coming to ABC as they’re all about the Marvel properties with Agents of SHIELD headed into a second season and the prequel series, Agent Carter, coming soon. It’s safe to say at this point, though, that DC Comics pretty much have broadcast television wrapped around their finger considering they are also in the very early stages of developing a Teen Titans pilot for TBS. It’s no wonder that the Marvel is aiming four new TV series to premiere on Netflix, one of which being Daredevil.
