Pony Island is a wondrous master-piece. It is the next step in PC Gaming, with its life-like graphics that mimic humanity in a way that reaches beyond uncanny valley into giving life to those it portrays. However, it not only skilfully depicts a world and the people who inhabit it with clarity and respect that invokes a whole spectrum of emotions, but it also has unrivalled gameplay to back it up. I’ve never seen freedom like this before, allowing you to play as anything from a gun rampaging psychopath to an innocent well-meaning civilian in this open world. It is an easy buy for anyone with dosh in their pockets, and it makes games like The Witcher 3 look clumsy and aloof, and it could easily be Game of the Decade.
