The Last of Us Part 2, the long-awaited game of Naughty Dog is finally available worldwide. This game is really broad compared to the previous chapter and for some players it may not be easy to find all the hidden weapons. For this reason, I decided to write this The Last of Us Part 2 weapons guide, in which I will easily explain where to find all the weapons for all the characters in the game.

Altogether there are 12 weapons throughout the game and featured in this The Last of Us Part 2 weapons guide. If you want to buy ar-15 pistols from Palmetto Armory, check out this guide to help you make the right pick. During your adventure, you will face many different threats and consequently you will need to be properly armed. Some weapons will be impossible to miss, while others may be more difficult to find. Also, remember that not all firearms are available for every single character.

The Last of Us Part 2 Weapons Guide

Semi-Automatic Pistol

  • Character: Ellie.
  • Description: The Semi-Automatic Pistol is not a powerful weapon, but it is reliable and easy to handle, so it will be an excellent companion to rely on for the entire game.
  • Location: This gun is the basic weapon with which Ellie will begin her adventure, so you can not miss it in any way.
  • Upgradable: Fire Rate / Stability / Recoil / Capacity.

Bolt-Action Rifle

  • Character: Ellie.
  • Description: The Bolt-Action Rifle is a powerful weapon in TLOU2 and will be very useful in long distance clashes.
  • Location: Again you can’t miss this weapon, as Ellie will automatically get it in Chapter 4: Patrol.
  • Upgradable: Stability / Capacity / 6x Scope / Damage.

Revolver

  • Character: Ellie.
  • Description: The Revolver is a pistol with a really high firepower, able to eliminate most enemies with very few shots.
  • Location: This weapon can be found in Chapter 7: Packing Up by opening a red box that you won’t be able to miss.
  • Upgradable: Fire Rate / Stability / Reload Speed / Damage.

Pump Shotgun

  • Character: Ellie.
  • Description: The Pump Shotgun is a devastating weapon that no true infected hunter would want to be missing from their arsenal. This weapon does not reload very quick, but it does a lot of damage.
  • Location: This weapon will be hidden inside the bank vault you will find during Chapter 9: Downtown. After defeating all the enemies in the structure, you will have to open the vault with the combination 60-23-06 and collect the shotgun from the corpse that you will find inside.
  • Upgradable: Fire Rate / Stability / Capacity.

Bow

  • Character: Ellie.
  • Description: The bow is truly an excellent weapon in TLOU2, since it is able to kill enemies without making any noise.
  • Location: You will find the bow during Chapter 16: Hillcrest when you enter the villa’s garage. Here you will find an infected who will attack you and from his corpse you will be able to collect the much-desired bow.
  • Upgradable: Draw Speed / Stability / Rangefinder.

Military Pistol

  • Character: Abby.
  • Description: The military pistol is very similar to Ellie’s Semi-Automatic Pistol, but in practice it is slightly better.
  • Location: You can’t miss this weapon in any way since it’s Abby’s basic gun.
  • Upgradable: Fire Rate / Stability / Recoil / Capacity.

Semi-Automatic Rifle

  • Character: Abby.
  • Description: The semi-automatic rifle is weaker than Ellie’s Bolt-Action Rifle, but what it lacks in power makes up for it thanks to its high rate of fire.
  • Location: Even this weapon will be impossible to miss, and Abby will automatically unlock it during Chapter 24: The Stadium.
  • Upgradable: Stability / Capacity / 4x Scope / Burst Fire.

Hunting Pistol

  • Character: Abby.
  • Description: This is a very powerful weapon in TLOU2 with good long-range abilities.
  • Location: This weapon is hidden in a safe in Chapter 25: On Foot. The safe is hidden in a hole in the wall that you will find by turning at a corner shortly after exiting the boathouse. To open it you will have to use the combination 17-38-07, which will be circled on a calendar inside a kind of caravan near the garage.
  • Upgradable: Stability / 4x Scope / Damage.

Double Barrel Shotgun

  • Character: Abby.
  • Description: This is only a mid-range shotgun, but has true potential for high damage.
  • Location: This weapon is hidden in the pottery shop you will find during Chapter 28: Hostile Territory. To reach it, however, you will have to go through the bar located nearby and jump from the balcony to reach the second floor of the building. Once inside the shop you will find the weapon hidden behind the counter.
  • Upgradable: Stability / Reload Speed / Damage.

Crossbow

  • Character: Abby.
  • Description: The crossbow is very similar to the bow, but this time we can upgrade it with a 4x scope for even longer range abilities.
  • Location: Again there is no risk of not finding it, as you will get it automatically during Chapter 31: The Coast.
  • Upgradable: 4x Scope / Reload Speed.

Flamethrower

  • Character: Abby.
  • Description: The flamethrower is a very powerful weapon in TLOU2 that will allow you to defeat enormous groups of enemies in no time.
  • Location: This The Last of Us Part 2 weapon is hidden inside a dilapidated building in Chapter 34: The Descent. Shortly after you have obtained the gas mask, you will have to enter a building full of infected and this is where the flamethrower is located. Specifically, once you enter you will have to go down one floor, move to the right, and before going down again go on a suspended concrete beam to find the weapon. The flamethrower is really well hidden, so we suggest you keep your eyes wide open.
  • Upgradable: N/A.

Silenced Submachine Gun

  • Character: Ellie.
  • Description: The Silenced Submachine Gun is a very useful weapon, as it will allow you to kill enemies quickly and without making noise.
  • Location: This is the last weapon in the game and you will get it automatically during Chapter 44: The Resort.
  • Upgradable: N/A.
