When the pandemic hit, there was much else to do. We couldn’t visit our friends, attend concerts, or eat at restaurants. Everything was confined to the inside of our houses if you followed the CDC guidelines. Despite the outside world being lost, there was one form of entertainment that was still there for us.
The year 2020 was a keen year for video games. Even without the pandemic, there were some great games scheduled to drop last year. With that said, these were the best video games to play in the year 2020.
Cyberpunk 2077
For those that loved The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, bets with Golden Nugget Online Casino can ensure that this game five years later lived up to the hype. The story takes place in Night City, a dystopian open world with six regions. Gameplay features a first-person mercenary known as V, who owns the skills of hacking, machinery, weaponry, and melee combat. V can take cover, aim, run, jump, and slide. He features three types of ranged weapons, all of which are produced by power, tech, and smart (homing bullets).
The only drawback was the initial glitches and crashes, which prompted both PlayStation and Xbox to offer returns on their purchase. Once the bugs were fixed, the game was an overall success.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
The latest addition to the Call of Duty franchise featured Nuketown Russia. Nuketown Russia is similar to the original Nuketown from the first Black Ops game that is present in Call of Duty Modern Warfare. It is covered in snow, while structures and busses will look completely different. Gamers loved playing zombies, prop hunt, and the regular online matchmaking. Their recent season started on December 20th.
DOOM Eternal
When Doom Eternal was dropped, it was one of the best new video games coming out. Doom Eternal is a first-person shooter video game that follows the Doom Slayer once again. The main character is on a mission to end Hell’s consumption of Earth and stop the alien Mayor’s plans to eradicate humanity. Along with the campaign, there is a multiplayer mode called “Battle Mode.” In this, you can play as the Doom Slayer or as a demon and fight each other until all players are killed.
Hades
According to some sites, Hades was the No. 1 ranked video game in 2020. The game details the story of Zagreus, son of Hades, who is attempting to break out from the depths of hell to reach the surface. Zagreus ends up dying multiple times, so get used to attempting a quest more than once. Despite constantly dying, Zagreus is a fantastic protagonist.
There is also a solid cast around him. His father, Hades, is a nuisance that gives Zagreus flack. You have the chance to master new weapons, purchase upgrades, and perfect your technique against impossible tasks. It’s a perfect combination of a difficult game and a thrilling story. While 2020 may be over, it’s not too late to give these games a try.
